Counseling is a process by which a person can learn to see challenges, experiences and feelings in a new way. The difficulty of this journey depends greatly on how long a person has been perceiving life in ineffective ways. Perception really is the key ingredient in determining whether a person’s existence is happy or frustratingly difficult. While challenges are common to all people, perceptions of those challenges either help or hurt the process of discovering solutions.
